Developing Change-Ready Employees with Adaptive Leadership

with Ashley Mudd

from AM Consulting

In today’s complex workplaces, developing employees who can lead through change isn’t about teaching new frameworks—it’s about helping them see, practice, and sustain key behaviors that support complex work. In this interactive session, we’ll explore what adaptive leadership looks like in action, using real-world stories and clear examples to answer the question: “What does this actually look like in practice?”

You’ll learn what to look for, how to foster it, and why these practices matters for creating collaborative, change-ready teams. Expect practical insights, relatable examples, and ideas you can immediately bring back to your organization.

About our Keynote:

Ashley Mudd (she/her) helps organizations and individuals make meaningful progress on their toughest challenges–especially when navigating change, tension, or uncertainty. Her work is rooted in the belief that leadership isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about helping people show up differently so better answers become possible.

Ashley brings over a decade of cross-sector experience in leadership development, organizational strategy, and equity-centered facilitation. As the former Executive Director of the Leadership Institute of Acadiana, she co-designed leadership programs grounded in racial equity and capacity building. She later served as Program Director for Reaching Out MBA, where she led national strategies to increase LGBTQIA+ inclusion and belonging in business education and leadership pipelines.

Today, Ashley runs a boutique consulting practice that partners with nonprofits, values-driven businesses, and associations to develop adaptive, change-ready teams. She’s certified in Adaptive Leadership facilitation and board consulting, trained in co-active coaching.

She’s based in south Louisiana, where—when she’s not facilitating—you’ll find her experimenting in the kitchen or camping with her wife and their two dogs, Zoey and Luna.
